VEGGIE BURGERS

This recipe takes a bit of time and patience, but it is well worth it.

1 C wheat germ
1/2 C swiss cheese-shredded
1/4 C mushrooms-chopped
1 1/2 C zucchini-shredded
1/2 t basil
1/2 t thyme
1/2 t dill
1 T sugar
salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Then make into patties (makes 4 nice sized ones) Cook over low heat in olive oil (or butter) in skillet. They turn out best cooked slowly. Drain a couple of minutes on cooling rack before eating. (Watch that the dogs don't sneak up behind you, liberate the burger from the cooling rack and swallow it whole before you have time to react-I speak from experience!)
