CHEVRE TOPPED BROWNIES

This recipe is from the Baker's unsweetened chocolate squares box. It actually calls for cream cheese, but we substitute chevre for the cream cheese and the result is wow!

brownie:

4 squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 C butter
2 C sugar
4 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 C whole wheat flour
1 C chopped nuts

topping:

8 oz chevre
1/3 C sugar
1 egg
2 T flour

Melt Chocolate and butter in a glass bowl over boiling water in a pot. Remove glass bowl to counter and stir in the sugar until well blended. Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts until well blended. Spread in buttered 13x9 inch pan.

Beat the chevre, sugar, egg, and flour until well blended. Drop by spoonfuls evenly over the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife several times to marbleize.

Bake in a preheated 350'F oven for 40 minutes.
