This wonderful recipe is extremely versatile. Add chocolate chips for a special occasion. Cranberries and orange zest are also a treat.
1 C hard white wheat flour
Stir together the dry ingredients.
Melt the butter and let cool.
Beat the egg. Then beat in milk & butter. Add liquid ingredients to dry and mix well.
Pat out into an 8 inch square and cut into 16 triangles.
Brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake in a 375° F. oven for 14 minutes.
If you do not have access to freshly gound flour, or different types of flour, then substitute the 1 C hard white wheat flour and 1 C spelt flour in the recipe with 1-1/2 C whole wheat flour.
