Stormy is the Senior Herd Sire here at Fieldstone. He has the BEST disposition for a buck. His pedigree is stellar, and his kids are turning out very nicely. All of his daughters are excellent milkers with well attached, even udders.

I purchased two new does this winter. The main reason for purchasing the does was the hope that they would have buckling kids. Both does are completely unrelated to all of the goats in my band and unrelated to each other. India was bred to Tuff Enuff of Lover-R-Goats farm and her kids represent top genetic lines from the east coast. India has given us Cormac! He is a very nice buckling and I am well pleased with his dam's sensational udder and stellar dairy temperment. He's a keeper!

Bartimaeus is my first attempt at breeding a "superior being" in the world of bucks. The cross between Ariella and Stormy has always given me kids that were superior to both dam and sire and so when I sold Ariella it was with the understanding that she was to be bred back to Stormy that year, and if they produced a buck, I got first choice. Not only did she have a buck, he was the only kid she had and he was a 13 lb buckling. I am very proud to have this young man join us and I am thrilled with his disposition.
I am anxious to use him for breeding next year and see how his kids turn out.

It seems silly to keep a Nubian buck when you have only one Nubian doe. I go around and around about selling him and I am finally doing it! Holly had the most beautiful doelings out of Apache this year and I anticipate that he will throw color for all of his kids. If you have a fondness for a buck that throws color, this is the guy to have. He has a wonderful quiet disposition and is very gentle, traits that are worth gold in a buck.

Vallen is a very nice Nubian buck. He has a wonderful disposition and is not at all aggressive. He has a black undercoat and we have had 2 kids out of him that were true blacks. His lineage goes back to some awsome milkers in his grandparents...*B, ++*B, ++*B, +*B, and a 4*M. He is very broad and wide set with a clean straight topline. I am retaining two of his doelings and so have sold Vallen. If I had been focusing on Nubians and building my Nubian band I would definitly have kept this young man. Thank you to Jon Allen for this wonderful buck! I will certainly be purchasing bucks from him in the future.
